Fun Facts: Mount Plymouth, Florida is a census-designated place in Lake County, Florida. It had a population of 2,814 per the 2000 census. The Historic Mount Plymouth Hotel built in the area in 1926 was central to the area. It had many famous guests over the years including Al Capone, Babe Ruth, Connie Mack, and singer Kate Smith. A fired destroyed the building in 1986 and 1987.
